About me

Hi, I'm Harold Harper, and I live in Millersburg, PA. I'm a 52 year old Christian single adult. That's why I have links to two Christian Singles groups.

I am a dental hygienist (one of very few male hygienists). I work for two dental offices. My specialties in the offices are periodontal therapy and orthodontics. I like orthodontics best.

My Family

I live with my parents. Mom is 80, and was very active until August. Her heart is wearing out, and she had a bout with pneumonia. Dad is 83, and Mom keeps him fairly active. He loves to "tinker" with things.

I have two older brothers. Bruce is retired from the U.S.A.F. He and his wife Carol live in Enders, PA, a blink-and-you'll-miss-it town here in central PA. Jim is the next one in line. He lives in Manassas, VA with his wife Geri. Jim works for Safeway.

My Church

I attend Calvary Wesleyan Church, right here in Millersburg, PA. I've been a member since I was a teenager, although I've attended there since I was born. Mom is a charter member of the church, which started in 1932. We are a small congregation, but we are constantly growing. A few years ago we purchased 10 1/2 acres of beautiful property just outside of town, where we plan to build a new facility in the future.

I've been the Minister of Music since January 2000. I'm generally leading worship, but when someone else does that, I play keyboards. I also sing special music in two some of the services. Our pastor is Rev. Bob Simpkins, and he has been our pastor for 25 years.

Pathfinders Christian Single Adult Fellowship

I've been involved with Pathfinders for nine years. One of my patients invited me to go along with him to a Bible study. I found the others there to be a really dedicated, friendly group of Christian singles. I soon became a regular at their Bible studies and other activities. Before long I was helping to lead the studies, and was asked to be on the leadership team.

Pathfinders is made up of singles of all types, divorced, widowed, never married, with or without children. Our main focus it to promote Christian growth through Bible studies, fellowship, and one-on-one interaction. We have a retreat at Camp Hebron in October, and several other activities during the year. Some include: dinners, one day trips, camping weekends, fund raising activities, and outreach ministry to those who are in need.

Crossfire

Crossfire is another Christian singles group. They are based in the Harrisburg, PA area. It is a much larger group than Pathfinders. Because of the size of the group, it is divided into many smaller cell groups and specialized activities.

I usually go to the Crossfire Friday evening volleyball. All the Crossfire activities are open to anyone. There are square dances, Diner's Club, shore trips in September, cruises, and other vacations.
