Bowling: All bowlers bowl six games, switching pairs after each game.  Bowlers will roll two games on each of the three patterns laid out on the lanes.  Bowlers will be assigned lanes prior to practice.  15 minutes practice will be given, with the first 7 ½ minutes held on the starting pair only. 

Basic Stuff: Please check in at least 15 minutes prior to start time.  Walk-ins will be accepted if room allows.  All bowlers must be USBC Youth-sanctioned for 2007-08.  All scholarship fees returned 100%.  Foul language said in disgust, heard by event officials, results in a warning first, then disqualification.  Other unruly behavior will be dealt with on a case-by-case basis.  Bowlers arriving before the 3rd frame of the first game of qualifying will be allowed to make up missed frames without practice.  Arrival afterwards means zeroes for missed frames.  Squads close if/when entry limit is reached or when all bowlers complete the fifth frame of the second game, whichever comes first.  Maximum two re-racks per game, unless pins are missing from a rack.  Dead wood must be cleared from gutters.  Problems involving scoring, bowling on the wrong lane, foul line malfunctions, etc. MUST be brought to the tournament director’s attention immediately.  If bowlers must be moved to a different pair of lanes during a game, the bowlers are allowed one ball of practice on each lane.  One lane courtesy is required, no more, no less. Only bowlers, tournament officials and volunteers, and center officials permitted in bowling area during competition.  No switching hands.  No flash photography and tobacco usage.  Have fun.

Squad Restriction:  Bowlers who must check in for Junior Gold after 12noon on Saturday may not bowl in the Saturday 1:00 squad. 

Junior Gold Qualifying:  Junior Gold qualifying will be offered.  Bowlers may only attempt to qualify for Junior Gold 2009 with their first entry.  Cost is $20.  One in seven will advance. 

Wardrobe:  Collared or mock-collar bowling shirts required.  No denim allowed.  Neatness counts.  Tournament management reserves the right to deny entry to bowlers not appropriately dressed.

Scholarships:  Scholarships will be awarded separately to boys and girls.  Scholarships are awarded on a one in four basis, based on total entries in each division.  Scholarships are held in SMART Account #8717.

Entry Fees:            1^st Prepaid Entry:      $33 ($9 bowling, $4 expense, $20 scholarship) – due by 6/30/08

                              Walk-In Entry:          $36 ($9 bowling, $7 expense, $20 scholarship)

                              All Re-entries:          $30 ($9 bowling, $1 expense, $20 scholarship)
